On Saturday March 29th, 2025 at 4:57 am MT, the Sun will be partially covered by the Moon, creating a Partial Solar Eclipse in the fire sign of Aries.

The time has come to close this chapter of eclipses in Aries and Libra, which started back in April of 2023.

The main lesson of these eclipses has been: who are you, what sparks your vitality up, and how can you update your life choices + relationship dynamics to match that inner fire more authentically?

Solar Eclipse in Aries

Although we have started Spring and Aries season, and we are having an eclipse in fiery Aries… water energy is quite high right now.

We have 3-4 planets + the North Node in the dreamy waters of Pisces. We also have Mars, the planet of passion and decision (who rules Aries), in the emotional and homey water sign of Cancer. This fire/water mix can be steamy: healing, but also disorienting for our rational minds.

Water Energies: Healing + Releasing

The water collaboration (trine) between 2 planets that are uncomfortable in water (Saturn and Mars), can play out as a deep, soulful, heartfelt recognition of layers of the heart. Perhaps there were parts that had not yet been explored for you to understand your “why” deeper.

Maybe there’s a willingness - or inevitability - to feel and release emotion as a way of healing. A constructive or controlled release of discomfort, dis-ease, grief, sadness, nostalgia.

We may be experiencing the recognition of what did not happen, what chapters ended, and what can be made now with the space that has been created.

Mars + Chiron: The Wound Is Triggered

With Mars direct in water sign Cancer (but still in “retrograde shadow”), and squaring Chiron (the wound + the healing process), we may feel like this new beginning is like a test of courage: emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

Chiron in Aries (since 2018) has brought up a collective wave of identity healing.

For some, this can be related to a process of understanding their gender identity. In general, this process has been connected to the many ways of presenting ourselves, what we identify as and with, and how secure do we feel asserting that identity.

Those with natal Chiron in Aries have felt it especially deep. Since this moment represents the beginning of a new chapter in Aries, the healing process around childhood wounds related to simply being who we are and doing what we want can be seeing a relevant moment.

Mercury and Venus retrograde

Since Mercury is very confused (retrograde, and going back into Pisces right after the eclipse), and Venus is in a heart-releasing retrograde moment too, our feelers are more awake than our mental capabilities.

It’s like waking up confused and mystified, with eyes blurred from tears shed in a dream where we had a deep experience that we cannot even put into words, but that felt healing and brought a spiritual kind of clarity.

I know I might sound like a broken record but my advice continues to be: trust in the Universe’s ways. Call it however you want, God, Source, Spirit, Mother. You are not alone, we are actually all together in this. Division is an illusion, and that illusion also has a purpose. You are unique and you play a role in the whole.
