Gemini Season 2025: The New Comes To Life

Gemini season is always fun new energy, and in 2025 it's like a buffet of many varied flavors...
In this article we will explore the various layers of Gemini season 2025 which started on May 20th and ends right before the summer solstice on June 20th.

Gemini season 2025: The Twins Bring Fresh Winds
As the first air sign of the zodiac, Gemini connects us to the use of our voice. The conversation that is eternally happening between the Twins involves what they had for breakfast, the last episode of Succession, what does the 8th house mean in astrology, and why do their noses look like that; all of it sprinkled with wit, and lots of alternate versions.
This dialogue does not need to be dual: Gemini teaches us that there are a myriad different points of view to every situation, and many ways to interpret the same thing.
And even though the Twins are two, they are also a single unit: they represent multiplicity and unity, contrast and connection, ambivalence, diversity, fertilization and possibility.
Gemini is well known for being two-sided, although this is not unique to Gemini, but more of a mutable sign trait - learn more in my Astrology Basics Guide.
The time of the end of spring also reminds us that nothing ever stays the same… and in 2025 this is especially true. With every planet in the sky gradually initiating new cycles by entering new signs through the year, things are starting to look decidedly different.
Gemini season brings a lot of changes in energy. Both Saturn and Jupiter (both planets representing societal cycles of individual search for purpose and meaning) are entering new signs this month, intensifying a tension between expansion and restriction.
Mars will also finally leave Leo behind and move on to Virgo at the end of this season.

Saturn in Aries in Gemini Season 2025: Ignition Sparks
Saturn goes into Aries this week (on May 24th), beginning a 3 year cycle that will last until April of 2028. This is the planet that teaches us mastery, by applying pressure and limitation on one specific area of our lives at a time.
We have had a submarine type of work going on with Saturn in Pisces since March 2023. Saturn has been working on a subtle, subconscious, and emotional level, while in Pisces.
This does not take away from the Saturnian power to strengthen us: we may feel coming out on the other side with a stronger sense of faith in our spiritual channels, and/or a crystal clear vision of what we are creating.
Today, Saturn begins the first chapter of his journey through Aries, connecting the collective to a new set of standards.
The beginning of Saturn in Aries has an explorative and creative gist to it. Air and fire energies align, making this awakening of Saturn look like waking up in the middle of a parade - that still looks like a dream.
This is because Saturn “wakes up” - ready to start planning aligned courageous action for the next 3 years - and reencounters Neptune, the planet of illusion, spiritual experiences and imagined creativity (who already had entered Aries at the end of March), keeping the “dream portal” open and available for downloads, while still having a veil over our concrete reality.
Having Mars in Leo at this moment adds the desire to truly shine our heart-light in the world, while the Aquarius and Gemini energy (air signs) is adding the desire to connect, build aligned networks, let our voices be heard, and do it all in a way that is new and different than the old ways.
These are the moments that awaken and allow the Aquarian waves of change to take hold in reality.
Since Saturn is the ruler of Aquarius, the new 3 year cycle of Saturn in Aries is like a gateway to a 3 year project that opens up in joyful agreeance with the collective desire for change that is charging up our electric field.
This is a time where we have the opportunity to draft the first stages of a whole 3 year cycle.

New Moon in Gemini 2025: Trust Your Voice
New Moon in Gemini: May 26th 2025, 9:02 pm MDT
This New Moon is the first one with Saturn and Neptune both in Aries (Saturn beginning a 3 year cycle, Neptune beginning a 14 year cycle). It looks like a bubbly welcoming party for these two giants into life again.
A seed related to our voice is planted in the middle of new beginnings, new horizons, new ideas and desires.
So much more newness is still unfolding during these months that it almost feels like the perfect new moon to set ourselves up for adaptability, open mindedness, and exploration of the new.
Mercury - Lead Trickster of the New Moon in Gemini
Mercury is "the Witty Messenger" that connects all our different dimensions and inner worlds through thought, language, and movement.
Mercury enters Gemini on May 25th, so during the New Moon in Gemini, its own planet is there, right beside the meeting of Sun and Moon (new moon). This emphasizes the theme of the use of our voice in this new moon, and gives a Mercurial speed blessing to whatever begins in this lunation.
Mercury is also the planet of Virgo, which is the zodiac sign that is signaling one of our main collective lessons this year: learning to be okay with not knowing the details or having control of things, and instead, leaning into trusting Spirit and its perfect alignment and timing.
Ideas can become attachments: they can stagnate our movement if we get too comfortable with them.
Our brain is by nature lazy, and loves to run the same programs over and over again. If it makes sense to you, you can use this new moon to set the intention to be open to new ideas that you haven't seen before. Being open to believing and trusting the vision is powerful.

Mercury and Venus in Gemini Season 2025
Mercury is moving quite fast during Gemini season. Its passage through Taurus will be 15 days, and in Gemini it will be 14 days only. By the end of Gemini season, Mercury will be in Cancer, having visited 3 different signs in 30 days.
This fast moving planet is currently direct and without retrograde energy in sight, so this is normal Mercury behavior (retrograde will be July-August, stay tuned for that one!)
Venus, the Love and Self-Worth Queen, is finalizing her stay in the sparkly (and kinda stressful) fireworks of Aries, but not without visiting Chiron first. The process of love takes insight from the process of healing (June 1st).
The conversation between Venus and Chiron can bring an update to our sense of worthiness, recognizing the battles that have been had and won in terms of our sense of safety in our identity and our aims. It can also feel like a loving balm on our woundedness.
On June 5th Venus finally arrives home to her beloved earthy Taurus. Even though we are in Gemini season, the Taurus indulgence will have a comeback. It is an ideal time to nourish the body, relax into pleasure, tune into abundance.
Rewarding ourselves is a great way to remind our bodies what it feels like to be safe and abundant. Allow yourself to ground in your body & sensuality during this Venus in Taurus season.

Jupiter in Cancer: Meaningful Roots
Jupiter changing signs is a once/year event! This big smiley face planet is staying in Cancer from June 9th 2025 until June 29th 2026.
This expansive planet has been in Gemini for a whole year, which is not particularly Jupiter's favorite sign to be in. This is because Jupiter has a larger, more subjective and deep perspective than that of Gemini/Mercury.
Jupiter sees the big picture. It is abundant, ample, spacious, optimistic, visionary.
Jupiter represents our "inner philosopher", the part of us that seeks and sees meaning in life. Its home signs are Pisces and Sagittarius: two very intuitive and spiritually oriented signs.
Cancer is a water sign that Jupiter really appreciates. Maybe it has to do with how immensely meaningful home is for us, however it looks like. Home is the place where our dreams were planted and watered, or not.

Full Moon in Sagittarius: What Do You Believe?
The Moon becomes full on June 11th at 1:43am MT.
Full Moons always bring about completion or maturation of a process started 6 months before. The Full Moon in Sagittarius connects to the New Moon in Sagittarius, which happened on November 30th, 2024.
The most interesting thing about this Full Moon is that it's not only the first one with Jupiter in Cancer, but also Mercury is in Cancer at this point, representing a very interesting element of cohesiveness.
The Full Moon in Sagittarius illuminates the beliefs, paradigms, ideas that stem directly from home and are delineating our path forward. This can be a moment of clarity into our deeper belief systems.

Jupiter/Sagittarius are all about the meaning and cohesiveness of things. They are always seeking to find a higher ground perspective that makes everything make sense at large. During this Full Moon, that meaning quest is set on our origins.

Mars in Virgo: The Challenge To Get It Done
Mars finally leaves Leo and moves on to earth sign Virgo on June 17th, 2025.
Mars is all about our action, decision, direction, and passion.
Moving out of Leo feels like a relief to me, mainly because of the continued intensity placed between Leo and Cancer during the retrograde of Mars between October-April.
Mars is also finally moving on from the uncomfortable and intense Pluto opposition.
He goes into Virgo to awaken intentional, detail oriented and purposeful action, and will trigger some perfectionist traps for many of us.

Overall, Gemini season gradually opens up new chapters and energies. Keep in mind to trust your intuition, trust the voice that wants to come out, and prioritize action over perfection.
